French Ambassador in BiH in inaugural visit to the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH

Director Vilić informed the Ambassador about the legal competences of the Directorate and its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He expressed his gratitude to Ambassador for providing trainings to police officers of the Directorate in the field of public peace and order which were conducted by prominent instructors of the French Gendarmerie. Thanks to these permanent trainings, officers of the Directorate gain an exceptional know-how in this field.
In the course of the meeting, Director Vilić presented the successfully implemented activities, as well as tasks and duties police officers deal with on a daily basis. He also pointed out the aspects of international police cooperation that fall within the competence of the Directorate and which are carried out through EUROPOL and INTERPOL channels.
Ambassador Rousson said that he has already been informed about the established cooperation between the French Embassy in BiH and the Directorate in the previous period. He expressed his appreciation for the extremely professional attitude of the Director's officers during the past cooperation. He also highlighted the importance of cooperation improvement in order to preserve the security, rule of law and development of democracy in BiH.
