The Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina successfully carried out all activities within its jurisdiction to secure the commemoration of the 31st anniversary of the genocide against the Bosniaks in the “UN Safe Area of Srebrenica,” which took place in a safe and dignified environment.
During the commemoration and the collective burial of genocide victims, extensive security measures were implemented at the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Center, as well as measures for the immediate security and escort of domestic protected persons and foreign VIP delegations. To carry out these tasks, the Directorate deployed a total of 140 police officers, who performed their duties in accordance with the highest professional standards.
The commemoration was attended by 15 domestic and foreign VIP delegations, and thanks to the timely planning and coordination of all competent institutions, the event proceeded without any security incidents.

Intensive inter-institutional cooperation and daily data exchange enabled a timely response to all security challenges.
The Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina expresses its gratitude to all police agencies, security institutions, and other entities that participated in the implementation of this complex security operation. Through their professional and coordinated actions, the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina have once again demonstrated their ability to ensure a safe, dignified, and unimpeded commemoration of one of the most significant events in the country.
