Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH Enes Karić and his associates met today with the CIVIPOL expert Sylvie Sanchis, Head of the 1st component of the Project „EU Support to Strengthen the Fight against Migrant Smuggling and Trafficking in Human Beings in the Western Balkans –EU4FAST
Director Karić informed Ms Sanchis about the legal responsibilities of the Directorate as one of the police agencies at the state level and its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also presented the planned activities included in the Strategic Plan for the Development of the Directorate and emphasized the importance of the Directorate's capacity building through the continuous training of police officers and material and logistics equipping.
Ms Sanchis pointed out that CIVIPOL is one of the implementers of the project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is being implemented with the BiH agencies involved in the migration management process. She highlighted that the Project EU4FAST will undertake activities to strengthen law enforcement agencies in BiH in the area of illegal migration and smuggling of people.
Director Karić and Sylvie Sanchis expressed their belief that future cooperation, through the implementation of joint activities, will be successful.
