Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH Enes Karić met with Deputy High Representative in BiH Mirko Zambelli at the OHR.
Karić acquainted Mr. Zambelli with the legal responsibilities of the Directorate. He particularly emphasized the tasks carried out within the framework of security of VIPs and diplomatic and consular representatives, as well as the constant and continuous strengthening of communication and cooperation with law enforcement agencies in BiH and international partners, which is implemented through international operational police cooperation (INTERPOL, EUROPOL and SELEC).
During the meeting it was discussed about the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special emphasis on the current responsibilities of the Directorate. Director Karić expressed his gratitude to the OHR for supporting the work of the Directorate, as well as other agencies and institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and stressed the importance of continuation and improvement of cooperation.
Mr. Zambelli expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation so far with the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, and emphasized the readiness of the OHR in BiH to continue to provide support in maintaining a safe environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with its mission. He also thanked Director Karić for the trust shown, the very constructive conversation and openness to cooperation and confirmed the readiness of the OHR to continue supporting the Directorate.
