Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH Enes Karić and Minister of Defence Zukan Helez signed the Agreement on Mutual Communication and Cooperation and Providing Assistance in the field of training between the Directorate and the Ministry of Defence on 19th February 2024.
“We can make a step forward in the field of training because the skills and knowledge of the members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are very important to us. The Agreement was necessary for us since the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies and the Military Police have many common tasks. Also, based on this Agreement, we
can inform each other about the security situation” highlighted Director Karić.
Minister Helez pointed out that he was pleased to be able to host the representatives of the institution that plays an important role in our country, saying that the signing of this Agreement is of great importance for the Ministry of Defence and the BiH Armed Forces.
“The Military Police is the most important and most efficient unit of the BiH Armed Forces. The Directorate coordinates all police bodies of BiH, so there is no doubt that this cooperation will raise the knowledge of our members to a higher level. I am glad that we will have cooperation in communications, equipment, but also in carrying out the most important tasks" said Helez.
The Agreement should be crowned by a joint exercise in the coming period, which was discussed by the interlocutors.
