On February 15, 2023, the United States of America donated, through the U.S. Embassy and U.S. Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), winter equipment, heaters and medical equipment to the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH.
Head of INL Matan Meyer, together with Deputy Head of the Regional Security Office Mark Romanowski, visited today the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH. They met with the director of the Directorate Mirsad Vilić regarding the donation of police equipment and emergency medical intervention equipment worth around USD 48,000.
The equipment provides significant assistance and improves the capacity of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, enabling better readiness to react in emergencies.
Director Mirsad Vilić referred to the efforts aimed at expanding and improving capacity, as well as activities contained in the Directorate's Strategic Development Plan that concern strengthening communication, coordination, and cooperation both with the police authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and with international partners. He emphasized that the improvement of technical possibilities is one of the constant priorities and goals of the Directorate.
This donation shows that the United States continues to be a dedicated ally in the efforts of Bosnia and Herzegovina to protect the integrity and security of the country and its people.
Director Vilić thanked the U.S. Embassy and INL Bureau for this significant donation and consistent support to the Directorate. He also highlighted the significant support to the U.S. Regional Security Office and their close partnership to ensure the protection of diplomatic facilities in BiH. Vilić emphasized that today's donation is an example of exceptional relationship and cooperation between the United States of America and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
