Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH received the Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Austria, Jörg Hofreiter.
Director Karić welcomed the long-time friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jörg Hofreiter, and introduced him to the responsibilities and daily tasks performed by the Directorate's employees. He also emphasized the importance of the Directorate, as one of the state-level police agencies, and its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stated that the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH is continuously working on building and strengthening its own capacities and to a large extent has the support of the Republic of Austria, he particularly emphasized the long-standing friendship between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Austria.
The Honorary Consul of BiH in the Republic of Austria, based in Graz, who participated in the EU mission in BiH, introduced Karić to the role of the police in the Austrian legal system. He paid special attention to the participation of young people in police work, gender equality within police structures and the importance of the profession for society as a whole.
On this occasion, Honorary Consul Jörg Hofreiter presented Director Karić with a “Police Glossary”, with police terms in Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian, German and English and expressed his belief that it would help all police officers in BiH in performing their duties.
