The newly appointed commander of the European Union Forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUFOR in BiH), Major General Laszlo Sticz visited on 3 July 2024 the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he met with the director of the Directorate Enes Karić and his deputy Đuro Knežević.
Director Karić congratulated the EUFOR commander on his appointment and wished him a successful professional engagement in BiH. Since this is his first visit to the Directorate director Karić presented to the commander the competences of the Directorate and its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also emphasized that the activities undertaken by the Directorate and which continues to carry out in order to build its capacities, which are reflected in the procurement of material and technical resources and organization of training for police officers.
Major General Laszlo Sticz expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with the Directorate so far and emphasized that during his mandate he will ensure that future cooperation and communication will be maintained at a high professional level. He also emphasized the readiness of EUFOR in BiH to participate in the preservation of a safe environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with its mission.
