Practical examples of Austrian police in the collection, processing and analysis of intelligence data, and database with early warning system and strategic and operational analysis, which are dealt by Sector 4 of Austrian police, were just a few topics that were discussed at a seminar hosted by the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Seminar ''Strategic Analysis'', held from 05.11.2012 to 9.11.2012.godine, as part of the IPA 2010 Project ''EU support to the Area of Law Enforcement''- part II, whose instructors were officers of the Austrian Federal Office for Crime (BK), Mr. Günther and Paul Bechtloff Marouschek.
Instructors pointed out that the database, that is used by the Austrian police, for the development of strategic and operational analysis has a large amount of information, and all police officers of Austria have access and input into that database. They also noted that the system automatically checks the state of crimes in database by crime areas, and in the case when the upper limit is exceeded, competent persons receive an e-mail with the details - so called early warning system.
