The Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Enes Karić, received today the Deputy Commander of the European Union Force in BiH (EUFOR), Brigadier General Uberto Incisa di Camerana, in the presence of Brigadier General Balint Csaba Lagoza, who will assume the position of Deputy Commander of EUFOR during the next year. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Directors of the Directorate, Đuro Knežević and Goran Amidžić.
During the official meeting, Director Karić presented in detail the responsibilities, organizational system, key projects and activities of the Directorate, as well as current processes in the field of coordination of police bodies at all levels in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The work of the Directorate in the segments of physical and technical protection of BiH institutions, protection of protected persons, international cooperation, operational linking of police structures and harmonization of standards with European security principles was presented in particular.
They discussed on current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, potential risks, the need for further capacity building and the improvement of inter-institutional coordination and information exchange. In this context, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of the continuity of the partnership with EUFOR, as well as the importance of efficient joint action in order to respond to security challenges in a timely manner.
Brigadier General Uberto Incisa di Camerana thanked the Directorate for its professionalism and cooperation to date, emphasizing that EUFOR remains a reliable partner to the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a stable security environment. The presence of the future Deputy Commander of EUFOR, Brigadier General Bálint Csaba Lagoza, confirms the continuity of the so far cooperation and guarantees its further intensification in the coming period.
Director Karić thanked for the visit and emphasized that the Directorate remains fully committed to strengthening capacities, professional standards and operational cooperation with international partners, as well as to continuous contribution to the security of the institutions and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
