At the headquarters of the Agency for Police Support of BiH, based on the Agreement on Public Procurement of Police Equipment and Weapons for the needs of BiH Police Bodies, public procurement contract were signed between the Agency for Police Support of BiH and the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH. Directors Enes Karić and Enver Hadžiahmetović signed above mentioned contracts.
The signatories emphasized that after a long period of time and "procedural obstructions", the realization of these contracts on public procurement succeeded, mostly thanks to the amendments to the Law on Public Procurement. These changes, which were adopted after the initiative of the representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Saša Magazinović, have successfully removed the blockades for the realization of public procurements made by the so-called "professional appellants". They also pointed out that the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina gave full support in the implementation of these contracts.
On this occasion, Director Karić provided full support to the efforts of the Agency for Police Support of BiH to fully conducts its competence to carry out public procurement for certain equipment for BiH police bodies and the realization of future joint activities arising from the agencies' legal competences.
Director Hadžiahmetović stated that the realization of these public procurement contracts at the state level is particularly important for the reason that the unified procurement of police equipment and weapons will enable significant financial savings and increase the level of transparency during the implementation of public procurement procedures.
