The Ambassador of the Republic of France, H.E. François Delmas, visited the Directorate for Coordination of the Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina and met with the Director of the Directorate Enes Karić and his deputies Đuro Knežević and Goran Amidžić.
Director Karić wished the Ambassador a warm welcome and a successful diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the meeting, the Director presented the legal responsibilities of the Directorate and its role in the security system of BiH. He also emphasized the aspects of international police cooperation, which is under the responsibility of the Directorate and takes place through the channels of INTERPOL, EUROPOL, SELEC, and liaison officers.
The interlocutors also discussed the cooperation so far, which has taken place, among other things, through the various types of police training and the French language courses.
Ambassador Delmas said that he was already informed about the cooperation that the Embassy of the Republic of France in BiH had achieved with the Directorate in the previous period. He thanked for the exceptional professionalism of the Directorate’s staff during the previous cooperation as well as for performing regular and exceptional duties and tasks within the responsibilities of the Directorate. H.E. Delmas also emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation to preserve security, the rule of law, and the development of democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On this occasion, the participants
of the French language course, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of
France in BiH, were ceremonially awarded certificates of successful completion
of the course. Ambassador François Delmas presented
the certificates and commended the participation and commitment of the course
participants. The continuation of the French language course was also announced
at this ceremony.
