Director Enes Karić and his deputy Đuro Knežević received today H.E. Hong Sungwook the ambassador of the Republic of Korea for Bosnia and Herzegovina with headquarters in Zagreb.
Director Karić presented the legal competences of the Directorate and its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He presented activities that were aimed at building and strengthening the Directorate's capacity strengthening communication, coordination and cooperation. He pointed out the tasks that are carried out within the framework of the security of VIPs and diplomatic and consular representatives, as well as aspects of international police cooperation that is the responsibility of the Directorate and takes place through the channels of INTERPOL, EUROPOL, SELEC and liaison officers.
H.E. Sungwook pointed out that the Republic of Korea and Bosnia and Herzegovina have good diplomatic relations and that 2025 marks the 30th year since the establishment of diplomatic ties. He pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina is visited by more and more tourists from the Republic of Korea and expressed the hope that economic cooperation will also be strengthened.
