The meeting was also attended by the newly appointed police attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in BiH, Giovanni Rizzo and his associates.
Director Karić introduced the guests to the legal responsibilities of the Directorate and the activities carried out with the aim of strengthening the capacities of Directorate, above all the organization and holding of numerous trainings for police and civil servants and realization of international police cooperation, which is very successfully carried out through the Directorate. He especially pointed out the importance of international operational police cooperation that takes place through INTERPOL and SELEC channels and through the National/joint contact point for BiH cooperation with EUROPOL.
On this occasion, the delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in BiH visited the Department for International Operational Police Cooperation (NCB INTERPOL Sarajevo, EUROPOL and SELEC) and got acquainted personnel with whom they will continue their successful cooperation so far.
Ambassador Marco Di Ruzza thanked for the professionalism in the cooperation so far and expressed his respect for the police officers, who very professionally perform the tasks of securing the facilities of the Embassy and the residence of the Republic of Italy. He also gave full support to the future planned activities of the Directorate as well as to the efforts made in realizing its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
