The Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Agency for Education and Professional Development of Personnel Mostar, and with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), organized a specialized training for police officers of the Directorate entitled "Basic Training for Interventions in Mass Riots".
The training was conducted from 2 to 13 February 2026 at the premises of the Agency for Education and Professional Development in Mostar and was attended by 30 police officers of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH.
The training instructors were police officers from the Republic of Turkey with long term of practical and instructor experience in the field of management and response in mass riot situations. During the training, the participants had the opportunity to improve their theoretical knowledge and practical skills through modern working methods, exchange of experiences and intensive field exercises.
This type of professional development represents one of the most significant trainings in the field of interventions in mass riots implemented in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and it is the result of the joint efforts of the Directorate, the Agency for Education and Professional Development of Personnel Mostar, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bosnia and Herzegovina and TIKA, with the selfless support of police officers of the Republic of Turkey who made their knowledge and experience available to their domestic colleagues.
The training was successfully concluded with a final demonstration exercise, during which the participants demonstrated the acquired skills, tactical procedures and the level of competence for acting in complex security situations.
At the end of the training, all participants were awarded certificates of successful completion of the training, organized by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), while the training instructors were presented with appropriate gifts as a sign of gratitude for their professional engagement and contribution to strengthening the capacities of police structures in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
