Sarajevo, 20 December 2012 – Police officials from the Sector for VIP and Facilities Protection appreciated the opportunity to discuss relation management techniques at the workshop organised by the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies on 18 and 19 December 2012.
The Dutch colleagues Rob Kleian, Ad Casteleijn and Fred van Puffelen shared with colleagues their experiences in building up and improving the quality of the relations with the clients i.e. the heads of security of diplomatic offices and modus operandi on preparation, evaluation and exit meetings for protected VIP persons and facility owners.
“We went through every single step which precedes the preparation of the security plan for protection of both VIP persons and facilities, applying it to the BiH reality,” said Rob Kleian, Head of Unit for Diplomatic Protection of the Netherlands Police. “An unavoidable part, which we all appreciated the most, was to practice interviewing techniques and skills.”
The workshop was held in scope of the ongoing Twinning Project “Support to the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies in BiH” aimed at enhancing Directorate's capacities and capabilities for VIP and Facilities Protection.
